Stainless Steel Plate Offerings from Alliant Metals

At Alliant Metals, perhaps the biggest advantage of our stainless steel plate offerings is that we can utilize all our major capabilities to provide plate’s in sizes and finishes as required by the client.

We offer this product in various widths and lengths and shapes as well. Our machining capabilities allow us to cut the plates in a wide range of sizes from small rectangular pieces, OD/ID pieces to specific shapes and cut-outs using .dwg, or .dxf drawings to full plates measuring 8 feet by 12 feet even 20 feet in length. We can machine the plates by using our plasma and waterjet cutting equipment. This allows us to meet the precise specifications of the customer. And with no minimum sizes or quantities we can satisfy all applications needing up to 6 inch thick plate.

The plates can be easily polished in our two main finishes – #4 satin (180 grit), and #8 mirror finish and Alliant can provide finer finishes as required, such as RA [roughness average] with a specific number indicating the finish it needs to be polished to. This is determined utilizing a tool known as a profilometer. It measures the RA# at certain points in a piece that has been polished.

For custom stainless steel plates, we also utilize varied outside services including forming, grinding, and heat treatment, if required by the customer. If you would like to know more about our products, you can contact us via telephone on 800-543-1453, or via email at sales@alliantmetals.com
